WOHOOOO~~!!! Today is Lantern Festival. I supposed everyone had eaten at least a little of mooncake already ba. I hereby wished everyone a HAPPY LANTERN FESTIVAL.
Why there are Mooncakes Festival?
THERE are several stories about the origins of mooncakes and the myths and legends behind the Mooncake Festival.One of the more romantic myths is that Chang-O, the most beautiful woman of Chinese mythology stole the elixir of life that her husband had obtained with great difficulty from the Royal Mother.
The story goes like this:Long ago, the earth was in a state of havoc because there were 10 suns in the sky, and these were the sons of the Jade Emperor.Rivers dried up, the land became barren, and many people died.Seeing the death and destruction caused by his sons, the Jade Emperor took this matter to the god Hou Yi. The Emperor asked Hou Yi to persuade his sons to rise up away from the earth to end the catastrophe.
When Hou Yi asked the suns to leave the sky, they refused. Made angry by their defiance, Hou Yi, a great archer, launched arrows at the suns, shooting them down one by one until his wife Chang-O pleaded with him to save one sun to keep the earth warm and bright.
Knowing that the Jade Emperor was furious at the slaying of his sons, Hou Yi and Chang-O were forced to stay on earth.
Chang-O was unhappy, so her husband tried to win back her favour by gathering herbs that would give them once again the power to ascend to heaven. Chang-O remained angry, however, and ate all the herbs herself. She flew up to the moon, where she remains alone, living in the Moon Palace. The Tang poet, Li Shang-yin wrote the above verse on Chang O's sad story three thousand years later, and the story of Chang-O's flight to the moon has persisted since among the people of the world. There are several versions of this story, but this is the more popular version.
On the 15th of the 8th lunar month every year (this year it falls on September 24), when the moon is at its brightest and loveliest, Chinese people around the world look at the moon and remember Chang-O and her legend. The occasions is celebrated as the Mid-Autumn Festival, also known asthe Moon Festival.
Another version of the story:
the moon fairy living in a crystal palace, who comes out to dance on the moon's shadowed surface. The legend surrounding the "lady living in the moon" dates back to ancient times, to a day when ten suns appeared at once in the sky. The Emperor ordered a famous archer to shoot down the nine extra suns. Once the task was accomplished, Goddess of Western Heaven rewarded the archer with a pill that would make him immortal. However, his wife found the pill, took it, and was banished to the moon as a result.
Legend says that her beauty is greatest on the day of the Moon festival.

*******Yesterday, me and zhu bao bao went to celebrate our first Lantern Festival together at the Limbang Park after work. Although there was only the two of us enjoying but it was fun. There were many other people in the park celebrating too. We litted up many lanterns ( my ah ma gave me). The candles ( my aunt gave me) started to burn our lanterns. Luckily, they we managed to save the lanterns except for one. Zhu bao bao also bought firecracker. We litted up a few. He also played with his mini racing car. Then at last, we started to burn leaves, papers, woods and candles. Like we wanted to burn down the park. * Haha* *********On Satuday, we went in to Johor Bahru and watched movie - Naraka 19. It was a very not nice show. It was not advised to watch. He bought a mini racing car at the Action City in City Square. I bought a shawl. We went to eat * BBQ fish*. It was so nice. But before we went to eat that, we went to Mary Brown to have our small dinner. ******* Sunday, finally, I fall sick. In the morning, helped my mummy with the housework as usual. Drove over to Bukit Batok to meet him and his friend. But we changed driver of course. He drove while I rest in the car. Then we went to Clementi and he bought 2 games and I bought 2 softwares. After buying the things, his friends went back and we also drove back to his house as I was tooo sick already. I slept for awhile in his house. Making him so worried, I'm so sorry, zhu bao bao. Around dinner time, we went down to the oppsite coffee shop and bought Prawn Noodles. Luckily Monday when I woke up, I'm way way much better already. ****** Okay, I think is time to post pictures already.... Pictures time start now...

Today is a Thursday already. After tomorrow, we will be having weekends. For tomorrow, zhu bao bao had just gotten a news that he needed to stay overtime for don'n know what event till 730pm. But the time still not confirm yet. Why that school always got so many event de? Aint they feeling tired of organising and attending events? They had too many money and time already ar? Sooooo free to have this and that.
Yesterday, his school came in another TA. After he knew that there need to be another TA, he felt so sianz. Haizzz.... How can I help? SHIT THE HOD!!! oh noooo, is Section Head of IT (SHIT)!!! Wahahahaha....
Today, I had been doing nothing as the marketing side girl, Suci still on mc since yesterday. I spent my time burning cd. There was really nothin to do.
I was a website and it had a flash which I really wanted to learn to create. But I just cant get it right. What should I do? I had already search for help online everywhere, but still cant find any relevant help. So stupid. Din't they teach how to create that flash? When then I can master all the flash actionscript?
Holidays over, but I'm still in holiday mood. Haizz.. There is no more holiday till 13/10/2007, but you know what, it was a Saturday. Don't know company will pay us back the holiday or not. Hope that they not like Toppan, eat up people leave. IDIOTS!!!! HATE THEM!!!
Yesterday, I recieved the voucher from the SUKI YUKI already. Can go and have sushi feast again.
Zhu bao bao today not in a good mood. He was very moody since the day another TA came in. I also wished that he could change his job but the other job is another contract. I think this all will be up to him already. Hope that he will be happier.

I'm back to Singapore already. Went over to his hometown, Penang, on Friday night. I had never travel at night before. This is the first time and when reached there, I was already dizzy.
We reached Penang very early in the morning on 15th September 2007 (Saturday). *Wow, it is another day already.* Took a taxi to his brother's place and I think reached there around 7 plus. Life there was so different from here. It was so relax there. Unpacked our stuffs and had a bath. Waited for the shop to open so that zhu bao bao could take his car's battery and started the engine. While waiting, we cooked a packet of instant noodle to eat to at least filled a bit of our stomach. But everything seemed not smooth. It took more than 2 hours and then finally the car could run.
Drove over to his mummy's place and fetched her. Went to had "breakfast". *Haha, I supposed it is lunch already as it was already 11 plus in the morning.* After eating, he brought me go shopping. Also went to the shop where he bought his car to take his road tax. Time at there really passed very fast. At night, actually he wanted to bring me to somewhere but I was too dizzy to travel already. In the end, we went back to his brother's place after sending his mummy back home.
Staying in his brother home which only had the 2 of us really looked like staying in our own house. How nice if we can stay together.
Went to sleep soon. He woke up very early the next morning to do all his stuffs while I slept awhile longer. Woke up at 10 and prepare myself while waiting for him to come back.
After he came back, we went out to eat. But before we eat, he wanted to cut his hair and brought me to the saloon and in the end, I also highlighted my hair. Still not very used to black hair so decided to had some color on my hair again. That was the first time I had so many hairdresser doing my hair. Three hairdresser doing my hair was like a person with multiple hands. *haha* Within an hour plus, our hair was done. Went out to the coffee shop to look for his mummy and went to shopping center to have Tom Yam noodle. *So nice of him*
After eating, we went shopping again. Then dinner time, we went to a nearby coffee shop to eat. His mummy went to order chicken wings for me. *So nice of her to order for me, as I missed the chicken wings meal the night before* Seemed like when zhu bao bao at there, he really had the appetite to eat.
After our dinner, went back to park and covered his car and off we go to the bus terminal to take the bus to come back to Singapore. Time flies and never make us noticed that it was already gone. His mummy sent us to the bus terminal and went back home by cab on her own.
In the bus, we slept and all the way to the customs and finally, we reached Singapore at 6 plus in the morning. Went over to his house and he packed and went to work. I never go to work as I was not feeling well. Went to see a doctor and then bought some veggie and meat to cook dinner for zhu bao bao to eat. *Hehe, I cooked to much already. He ate till very full and sleepy.* He sent me back home and went back to sleep. It was a sleepy day. Had an early night last night.
Today when I woke up, I really don't feel like coming to work. It was so holiday mood. How I wish every day is like holiday.
Today update:
Zhu bao bao sent his resume to other company already and going to meet the person today. Hope everything will be fine to him. My freelance project from my friend had been delayed, so currently there was no project to do. I hope I can get more project as me and zhu bao bao are going to setup our own company.

Yeah Yeah ... Tomorrow is hoilday. ON LEAVE. Tomorrow night I will be going to his hometown with him already. But will be coming back on Monday morning. I will try to take lots of pictures back.
Yesterday, there was an earthquake in Indonesia. It also affected Singapore. People working in the town area were the most affected. This morning there was also an earthquake. Hmmmm.... it wa so bad.
NEWS:
Strong quake hits Indonesia; tremor felt in Singapore
Tremors were reported in several parts of Singapore at about 8am on Thursday.
Police and the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) received about 500 calls from the public about the tremors.
The National Environment Agency said an 8.3-magnitude earthquake occurred at about 7:45 this morning in southern Sumatra, approximately 600km from Singapore.
Police said there is no cause for alarm.
Buildings in Singapore are designed to established building codes and are sufficiently robust to withstand tremors caused by distant earthquakes.

Singapore buildings swayed after an earthquake hit Indonesia on Wednesday evening.
Residents in various parts of the island felt the quake and people in some buildings, including in the central business district, were evacuated as a safety precaution.
Areas in Singapore which felt the tremors included Novena, Paris Ris, Raffles Place, Potong Pasir, Marsiling, Toa Payoh and Thomson Road.
Singapore's Meteorological Services said the earthquake measured 8.5 on the Richter Scale. The preliminary reading was 7.9.
The earthquake struck out at sea at 7.10pm. Its epicentre was 120 kilometres south-west of the Sumatran town of Bengkulu, at a depth of 15 kilometres.
This is some 670 kilometres from Singapore.
The Meteorological Services advised that a regional tsunami may be generated, but its preliminary assessment is that this is unlikely to affect Singapore.
The quake was strongly felt in the Indonesian capital Jakarta, some 600 kilometres away, with tall buildings swaying.
An official at the Indonesian Meteorology and Geophysics Agency said a tsunami warning had been issued.
The Pacific Tsunami Warning Centre issued a tsunami alert for the entire Indian Ocean region, while India's Government Ocean Centre also issued a tsunami alert for Andaman Islands.
Indonesia was the nation worst hit by the earthquake-triggered tsunami of December 2004, which killed some 168,000 people in Aceh province alone.
The archipelago nation sits on the Pacific "Ring of Fire" where continental plates collide, causing frequent seismic and volcanic activity.
Wednesday's tremors were the latest in a series of tremors felt in Singapore as a result of an earthquake in the region.
The last was as recently as 6 March this year after an earthquake measuring 6.6 on the Richter Scale hit Padang, Indonesia.
A second quake measuring 6.1 hit the same area two hours later, causing a second round of tremors in Singapore.
Other tremors were also felt on 18 December 2006 and 29 March 2005.
But the worst quake in the last 40 years was the 26 December 2004 quake off Sumatra, which triggered a series of devastating tsunamis along the coastlines of parts of Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Myanmar and Malaysia.
These came to be known collectively as the Asian Tsunami, and is the ninth deadliest natural disaster by death toll in modern history.
The United Nations had put the death toll at about 230,000 people.
That quake was originally recorded as 9.0 but this was later increased to between 9.1 and 9.3, making it the second largest earthquake ever recorded on a seismograph.
It lasted between 8 to 10 minutes.

07/09/2007
Never meet zhu bao bao up. He had someone to join him in the school. Knew that he don't really like it. The other person there and made him so busy and could not chat with me.
After work mummy drove the car to Esso to fetch me up. While I'm waiting for her to come, I went into NTUC and buy a packet of potato chips. I was so hungry then. When they finally arrived, mummy packed 4 chicken wings for me to fill my stomach. *Thanks alot mummy.* I was then sitting at the driver seat eating. After I had finished, I drove them to Changi Airport. When we reached there it was so cold inside and I took my mummy's jacket and wear. My second sister was going to Japan. *anyway she is still there till thursday night* My ah ma also go to the airport with us. Mummy brought us around to look for food to eat, but all the food there were very expensive. In the end, I only had a cup of ice chocolate and a fews pieces of 'man jian kway' from Jollibean.
Awhile later, my second sister's friends and teachers arrived and we left her there with them and went back home. I also took some pictures in the airport and outside.

Let's have a clearer look and view08/09/2007Was a Saturday. Mummy was sick and went out to see doctor. I went out at around 10 plus and bought breakfast for me and him. Went over to his place and had our breakfast. After finished, we went out. We went to Orchard shopping. Our aim to go over there was to buy mooncakes but in the end, we bought nothing. Went over to Far East and he accompanied me around to find shoes. I was wearing a very high heel shoes and it made my legs pain. I finally saw a white shoes with red ribbon. The salegirl even helped me to stick a padding behind to prevent me from pain. In that shop while i asking for size, she told me she will go other place and take for me. She then came back with the same sixe but was a little larger then the previous one. Haha. It is good to me. Lucky never asked for a bigger size. We went over to Shaw and had our dinner. After our dinner, we walked for awhile more and then went back home. Went to Lot One to buy herbal tea. * I'm having gum pain while he had ulcers* 10/09/2007Zhu bao bao went over to my house for lunch. Mummy cooked alot. She was sick yet had to cook for us. * Thanks Mummy* Helped her with the housework. At around 3pm, we went out to Lot One and I bought a fake Japanese "shark fins". I like it. Walked around and then found out that there was nothing to walk already. Walked over to Yew Tee pasar malam. On the way there, I went back home and had a drink. It was so hot. I wanted to find some pooh bear stickers there but cant find it. Bought Tutu Kway, Tako Balls, sweet corn, hotdog waffles and goreng pisang. Still remembered goreng pisang was what he bought for me the first time we went out. Everytime he bought goreng pisang for me will be my mouth not suitable, but still really appreciated it. Went back home and played Uno. Had a few rounds and then our dinner. This weekends were too short already. Cant really enjoyed it. *THERE IS A GOOD NEWS, ON SATURDAY WHILE I'M SHOPPING, ONE OF MY SECONDARY SCHOOL FRIENDS MSG ME. TOLD ME HE HAD A FREELANCE TO DO. ASKED ME WHETHER I CAN HANDLE OR NOT, THEN AFTER A FEW QUESTIONS, I AGREED TO TAKE UP THE PROJECT. Today, I found out it was all in flash, although it is a new challenge but I will give it a shot. It is time to go library already. Hope everything can go smooth and fine.*Today is the first day of the week and I don't have the mood to work so, I had been trying out with the flash. I'm so lucky that most of things I need can be found online. It meant I will not had much trouble. No more words, enjoy photos now:
